You will be picked up from your hotel in South Bali by our guide at approximately 08.30hrs. Then you will drive to Batuan village to visit Pura Desa Batuan which has impressive architecture. Next stop is the Setia Dharma House of Masks and Puppets that has the world’s largest collection of masks and puppets from all the regions across Indonesia, as well as from various places in Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Then you go to John Hardy Jewelry to see the artisans and designers at work. Be fascinated as they weave chains link by link with their hands, hammer metal into a richly textured surface, and solder flattened granulated discs. The skill of these workers has been handed down from generations. Stop by the onsite boutique to buy some traditional local wear.
An authentic organic Balinese lunch follows after the John Hardy Jewelry under the nice shade of banyan trees.
Your journey continues to the famous Sacred Monkey Forest, home to the long-tailed macaques. Then a short drive to the Ubud market where you can shop for local handicraft and art products at competitive prices, and don’t forget to bargain. After you will be driven back to your hotel.
